Application for Secondary One Discretionary Places (2012/2013)
   
 
   
 

  1. Each Primary 6 student may apply NOT MORE THAN TWO SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

  2. Our school provides only 43 S.1 discretionary places.

  3. Applicants should have both excellent conduct and academic achievements, with outstanding results in Chinese, English and Mathematics.

  4. All applicants will be interviewed. Students with better performance in the first interview will be invited to attend a second interview by the Principal.

  5. Admission criteria are as follows :
    1. Academic achievements and Rank Order List from EDB (60%)
    2. Performance in interview (25%)
    3. Performance in extra-curricular activities (15%)

Procedures of Application

Application forms are available from 1/12/2011

  1. collect at the school during office hour

    Monday-Friday :  
    9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    Saturday :
    9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
    Sunday / Public Holidays : Closed

  2. download from our website www.stmgss.edu.hk

Submission of application form
Applicants are required to submit the following documents to the general office on or before 20/1/2012

  1. Application Form of our school
  2.  ‘Application Form for S1 Discretionary Place’ distributed by EDB
  3. Photocopy of Birth Certificate
  4. Photocopy of HKID Card
  5. Photocopies of P.4, P.5 & P.6 School Reports
  6. Photocopies of supporting documents of special talents and / or awards
    (P.4 – P.6)
  7. One stamped self-addressed envelope

Notification of Interview

At the end of February 2012, students will be notified for interview by post
