The School Management Committee (SMC) is responsible for managing,
administering and operating the school as a school which is
- funded by the Government;
- staffed and established by the Education & Manpower
Bureau; and
- a government property.
In order to ensure that the School is managed satisfactorily,
SMC will ensure that fair, open and formal systems and procedures
are in place for:
- setting school goals, monitoring and evaluating progress
towards those goals;
- drawing up the annual budgets and assessing the priorities
for expenditure where applicable;
- assessing staff strengths and weaknesses and planning systematically
for staff development;
- including elected teacher representatives and elected parent
representatives to the Committee;
- establishing effective channels of communication within
the School and with parents and the public.
